Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Greetings from Olympia! For the past several days, we’ve been working hard debating and voting on bills on the House floor. That’s because another legislative deadline is quickly approaching: house of origin cutoff. All bills must be passed out from the chamber they originated in by Wednesday, March 13th, or they will be considered “dead.” The only exceptions are bills necessary to implement the budget.
The House has passed more than 270 bills—with more yet to come. If you would like to take a look at the bills that have been approved by the House or Senate, I’ve included instructions below. Feel free to contact my office to comment or ask questions about any of these proposals. I’m always happy to help!

Want to see a list of all the bills approved by the House or Senate?
- Go to leg.wa.gov
- On the left-hand side, select “Bill information”
- Under Advanced Reports, select “Detailed Legislative Reports”
- Under Status, click on “Selected Step Reports”
- Select “House Bills” or “Senate Bills,” then click on “Passed House” or “Passed Senate.”
If you have any questions on these instructions, feel free to call my office. My contact information is listed at the bottom of this email.
Town Hall reminder!
I’m hosting town hall events with Sen. Keith Wagoner and Rep. Robert J. Sutherland on Saturday, March 16th. Please consider attending and sharing your opinions, comments and concerns about legislation being debated at the state Capitol. We will be providing a 2019 session update and would appreciate your feedback on our work for you in Olympia.
